Brewster Girls' Field Hockey Wins 2010 New England Class C Championship!

November 21, 2010 - The Brewster girls' varsity field hockey team won the New England Championship (Class C) when they defeated #1 seed Newton Country Day of the Sacred Heart 3-1. Senior Jolie Wehrung (Wolfeboro, NH) and Catherine LeBoeuf '13 (Dieppe, New Brunswick) scored for the Brewster Bobcats. The Bobcat team, seeded seventh in the playoffs, last won the championship in 2004.

Suffield Academy's Maddy Carpenter Named to USA Field Hockey U19 and U21 Squads

Suffield Academy standout goalkeeper Maddy Carpenter ’11 continues to make an impact on the USA Field Hockey Women’s Junior National Teams. After participating at a camp July 16-19 with over hundred of the nation’s best field hockey players at the University of Maryland, Carpenter was selected for the USA Field Hockey U19 and U21 squads.

Hotchkiss Wins 2010 NEPSAC Class A Field Hockey Championship

Nearly a decade of dominance continued as the field hockey team won its ninth consecutive New England title, defeating Greenwich Academy 2-1 on Sunday.

Despite recording a dominant 17-0 undefeated season, the Bearcats needed the narrowest of margins to win this championship, winning both weekend games in overtime and needing penalty strokes to win the final game.

KUA Field Hockey Repeats: 2009 NEPSAC Class C Champions


Two perennial Lakes Region League powers, Kimball Union Academy and Holderness School, met in the NEPSAC (New England Prep School Athletic Association) Class C field hockey finals on Sunday at Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, MA. KUA came away with a 2-0 victory to secure their 3rd straight Class C NEPSAC title and their 7th since 1999.

Governor's Academy: 2009 Class B Field Hockey Champs!

The Governor's Academy field hockey team won the New England Class B Championship title with a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over Thayer Academy on Sunday. Junior Kate Leary scored on a breakaway with just over a minute left in the first overtime period, off a perfect crossing pass from senior Ellie Clayman.
Thayer scored first, notching a goal just three minutes into the first half. The Govs slowly gained momentum as the tough defensive play of juniors Jill Conway, and Hannah Rochman, and senior goalie Jen Migliore held off Thayer's aggressive attack.

2008 Hotchkiss Girls' Field Hockey Wins 2008 NEPSAC Crown!


Volleyball wins its second straight final, beating Andover 3-1.
Football wins its second final in history with a 29-0 win over undefeated Proctor in the DelPrete-Theobold Bowl.
Boys Soccer wins its first title ever, with a 2-0 win over Avon.
And the Field Hockey team wins its seventh straight, making their 2-1 win over Exeter the ninth in history.

Lawrence Academy Field Hockey Takes 2008 NEPSAC Class B Title

Forty seconds into the game, Middlesex had already shot on the Lawrence goal, had been awarded a corner, and had taken another shot. Two minutes later they still had the Spartans backpedaling. It wasn’t until 26:15 that the ball was heading across the midfield toward the Middlesex goal—something it would do more often than not during the rest of the game.

Kimball Union Academy Wins 2007 NEPSAC Triple Crown!

Field Hockey, Boys' Soccer Garner NEPSAC Championship Titles, Football Wins Austin Bowl

November 19, 2007 was a banner weekend for KUA athletics, with three teams taking home top honors in NEPSAC championship games.

KUA hosted the NEPSAC Division C Field Hockey semi-finals and finals on November 17 and 18. On Saturday they posted a 4-1 victory over the Gunnery School and then sealed the championship title on Sunday with a 4-0 victory over long-time rival Holderness School. This is the 5th time in a decade that KUA has won the NEPSAC championship.
