Roxbury Latin Senior Mackay Lowrie wins MHSFCA and Gridiron Club Awards

Senior quarterback Mackay Lowrie was selected by the MHSFCA and the Gridiron Club as The Offensive Player of the Year for Massachusetts in addition to being on their "Super 26" All-State Football Team, composed of players from both private and public high schools. Mackay is the first player from the ISL to ever win this award.

The ISL MVP quarterback and Boston Herald and Boston Globe All Scholastic obliterated numerous records in his career, setting new ISL records for touchdown passes in a career (61) and in a single season (35). Mackay also set the RL records for passing yards in a career (4,739) and in a single season (2,311). In addition to being selected to play in the Massachusetts Shriners All-Star Game, Mackay was the NEPSAC Division C Player of the Year and voted All-New England. On National Signing Day, Mackay signed his National Letter of Intent to play at Boston College next fall.
