Past NEPSAC Athletes Continue to Shine in 2018 NCAA Men's and Women's Lacrosse Tournaments

The NCAA hung out its “Welcome to New England” banner at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., over the Memorial Day weekend to promote its 2018 Men’s Lacrosse Tournament and then looked on as its host teams smacked the rest of the country in the face during the competition.
For the first time in the 47-year history of the men’s tourney, all three divisional champions hailed from New England. Yale led the trifecta by defeating Duke, 13-11, to earn the Div. I title, while Merrimack prevailed on the Div. II level by crushing Saint Leo, 23-6. Wesleyan then completed the sweep by outlasting Salisbury, 8-6, for the Div. III crown.
Former NEPSAC Lacrosse Standouts Still Standing Out on Collegiate Level

Reunions inevitably occupy the bottom line of the school-year calendar. Throughout the New England prep school community, these last-but-not-least gatherings are typically scheduled for the first or second weekend of June. If you happen to be a lacrosse coach, however, there’s a pretty good chance of getting a head start on this year-end revelry.

Tess D’Orsi ’16 of St. Mark’s, Selected for National Under-19 Women’s Lacrosse Squad
Congratulations to Tess D’Orsi ’16, who was just named to the 25-player training roster for the U.S. Women’s National Under-19 Lacrosse Team. A rising Fifth Former from Sudbury, MA, D’Orsi was the leading scorer on this past spring’s 15-2 St. Mark’s Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team, earning All-Independent School League (ISL), All-New England, and All-American honors for her efforts.
Girls Lacrosse Teammates Recognized for Outstanding Play
Williston's Hatch and Fitzgerald Named All-American, Academic All-American
To cap off their careers at the Williston Northampton School, two recent graduates and girls varsity lacrosse teammates have been recognized for their outstanding play by U.S. Lacrosse.
The Western Massachusetts Chapter of the national association named Maddie Hatch ‘14 an All-American. She and teammate Maggie Fitzgerald ’14 were also named Academic All-Americans. This is the second year both girls have received the latter honor.
Suffield Academy's Alyssa Palomba '10 Named as Lacrosse Academic All-American
Alyssa Palomba's '10 efforts on the field and in the classroom earned her Academic All-American status for the 2010 lacrosse season. This is the second consecutive year that the goalie and recent Suffield graduate has earned this honor. Alyssa, who will attend Middlebury College in the fall, was one of seven senior Tigers on the 14-2 squad. Alyssa was a rock for the Tigers behind the goal and was a key reason for the team’s 29-4 record over the last two seasons.

Williston Northampton's Fogleman '10 Named All-American
The Williston Northampton School is proud to announce that S. A. Fogleman '10 of Kingston, Rhode Island was named a 2010 U.S. Lacrosse Girls' High School All-American by the Western Massachusetts U.S. Lacrosse Chapter. She is the first Williston student to be named girls' lacrosse All–American.
The U.S. Lacrosse All-American honor is given to those players who exhibit superior skills, sportsmanship, and techniques as well as possessing exceptional game sense and knowledge of the game of lacrosse. The All-American honor recognizes the best varsity high school players in the United States.
