New Hampton's Barnes ’17 Makes United States U18 National Team for Tilt against Canada

Two Other Huskies Invited to US National Camps

The only position player with a '99 birth year (there was one '99 goalie), Cayla Barnes was recently selected to play for the U18 Women's National team in an exhibition series against Canada. Not only was she invited, but she also started Game Two and logged a lot of ice time while in Calgary.
New Hampton School Head Coach Craig Churchill notes, "Cayla is a superb talent that hasn't even begun to tap into her true potential, her ceiling is high and she is mature well beyond her years. Her invitation to compete with the U18 National Team comes as no surprise and serves as an incredible recognition for a wonderfully humble kid."
"Cayla's ability to raise her game no matter what level she plays is a testament to her tireless work ethic and powerful competitive drive."
New Huskies Savannah Norcross '18 and Taylor Curtis '17 were both asked to compete at the US National Camp this summer in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
