Awareness – Looking out for others the Tabor Way

The Tabor Hockey Programs recently held some big events for some meaningful causes in the month of February.
The first event, which took place on February 1st, was the 18th annual Travis Roy Cup.  This benefit game with the St. Sebastian’s School raises funds to support the Travis Roy Foundation.   The Travis Roy Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the life of individuals with spinal cord injuries and their families by providing adaptive equipment and to finding a cure through increased funding of research, resulting in self-reliance and the ability to be as independent as possible. Check out for more information.  It has been an exciting series with the Arrows of St. Sebastian’s holding a slight edge winning nine games to the Seawolves seven.  However, the big winner has been the Foundation as over $100,000 has been contributed to the cause thus far.  In 2013 the Tabor and St. Sebastian’s second teams were added to the day’s event, with the Seawolves earning the inaugural victory.  This year the Arrows took home the Cup, but close to another $10,000 was raised for the Foundation.
